After three days of raging wind (it is still raging today, Wednesday), many Belarusians are wondering: what to expect from the weather on Thursday, December 19?
There is an answer. Forecasters say that tomorrow "a system of fronts and warm air masses of Atlantic origin is expected to move from Western Europe."
In simple terms, this means cloudy weather with precipitation and some not very favorable meteorological phenomena.
According to Belhydromet, on the night of December 18-19 in many areas (in some places during the day) snow and sleet will fall, turning into rain.
In addition, there will be black ice during the night and morning hours, and black ice will remain on some sections of the roads.
The wind will blow from the southwest and south. Gusts of up to 14 meters per second are possible.
Tonight, the air temperature across the country will be from -8 to +5 degrees, and during the day – from +2 to +9 degrees.
In Minsk tomorrow, the weather forecast is cloudy with clear spells and no significant precipitation.
Thermometers in the Belarusian capital will show from +4 to +6 degrees.
Almost the same weather conditions will form in Brest, where, however, it will be slightly warmer – from +7 to +9 degrees.
But in Gomel, Mogilev and Vitebsk, rain is expected. Black ice is possible on Vitebsk roads.
Thermometers in these three regional centers will record 3-5 degrees above zero.
In Grodno the weather situation will be almost the same as in Gomel and Mogilev. But the temperature will be different – 6-8 degrees Celsius.
