Alexander Lukashenko has ordered the development of a standard social package for young specialists who will work in rural areas.
The head of state stated this during his speech at the regional festival "Dazhynki-2024" in Polotsk.
He separately noted that a modern village must keep up with the times.
We need to bring young people back to the village and involve them in solving innovative problems, create conditions for this and give them the opportunity to prove themselves, the President’s press service quotes him as saying.
He explained: today we need to create new agro-towns and villages, and at the same time we need to build good housing.
He also pointed out that good working conditions must be created and “normal wages” must be ensured.
Without this, no young people will come here, the Belarusian leader said.
He informed that today there are many young farmers working in the republic, growing a wide variety of products, including watermelons and hazelnuts.
The President advised officials to have more trust in young workers and not to ignore material incentives for them.
It is necessary to develop a standard social package for young professionals who go to work in the countryside (rental housing, financial and transportation support, and so on), he ordered.
In this regard, Lukashenko recalled targeted training, saying that if a targeted student was sent, an agreement was concluded with him and his parents, he must return and work on this land.
There should be no other options. Higher education is very expensive, and you have to pay for it, the President argued.
And he advised compensating for the shortage of labor resources with “a more efficient technological structure and iron discipline.”
