Lukashenko appealed to director Emir Kusturica

On November 24, Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko addressed Yugoslav and Serbian film director Emir Kusturica.

Having congratulated the actor and director on his birthday, the Belarusian leader wished the hero of the day health, long life, vigor and optimism.

Your multifaceted acting and directing talent has found its embodiment in dozens of cinematographic works. Your work has written bright pages in the cultural annals of our time, has received well-deserved international recognition, - the press service of the head of state quotes the words of congratulations.

Alexander Lukashenko also noted that Belarusians know Emir Kusturica as an outstanding artist and a good friend of Belarus.

The President expressed confidence that the film director’s activities will “consistently contribute to the development of cooperation between the peoples of Belarus and Serbia.”
