Lugina on the ban on import of second-hand goods: the vacated niche will be filled by high-quality Belarusian goods
The Chairperson of the Bellegprom concern, Tatyana Lugina, commented on the introduction by the European Union of a ban on the import of second-hand clothing to Belarus.
In her opinion, the vacated niche will be filled by high-quality Belarusian goods.

What Lugina said about the ban on import of second-hand goods
Every year, second-hand clothing worth approximately $60-80 million is imported into the country. It is sold for up to $70 million, the rest is re-exported.
Commenting on the EU ban, Lugina noted that second-hand had a certain influence on the market.
I hope that a competent manager of Belarusian light industry enterprises will be able to fill the niche, the head of the concern said.
According to her, sooner or later this type of product will reach the Belarusian buyer through third-party markets.
Sanctions are sanctions, but economic issues are still being resolved, Lugina noted.
She expressed confidence that other countries would be able to replace the range of products imported from Europe.
