From November 1, 2024, Belarus increased the amount of state benefits for families raising children.
Thus, the one-time benefit in connection with the birth of the first child now amounts to 4,378 rubles.
The allowance for the birth of a second and subsequent children is now at the level of 6,129 rubles 20 kopecks, the press service of the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection reports.
As for the one-time benefit for Belarusian women who registered with healthcare organizations before the 12th week of pregnancy, its new amount is 437 rubles 80 kopecks.
The monthly allowance for families with children from 3 to 18 years old during the period of raising a child up to 3 years old from November 1 is 218 rubles 90 kopecks.
Monthly allowance for children over 3 years old for certain categories of families:
– for children over 3 years old, raised in these families (except for a disabled child) – 218 rubles 90 kopecks.
– for a disabled child over 3 years old – 306 rubles 46 kopecks.
Monthly allowance for caring for a disabled child up to 18 years of age:
– with 1st and 2nd degree of loss of health until the child reaches 18 years of age and with 3rd and 4th degree of loss of health until the child reaches 3 years of age – 437 rubles 80 kopecks;
- with 3rd and 4th degree of loss of health after the child reaches 3 years of age - 525 rubles 36 kopecks
The monthly allowance for children under 18 infected with the human immunodeficiency virus now amounts to 306.46 rubles.
The Ministry of Labor noted that benefits calculated from the subsistence minimum budget cover over 167,000 children.
