How hunting rules have changed

Decree No. 420 of 11/18/2024 provides for amendments to the Hunting Rules and Hunting Management Rules approved by Decree No. 112 of 03/21/2018.

Hunting for lynx and bear is permitted under a special regime that allows for controlled regulation of the numbers of these animals, based on population management plans developed by the National Academy of Sciences.

This decision was made due to the fact that the number of these animals has increased significantly and needs to be regulated.

In addition, the Ministry of Forestry is authorized to determine the list of cartridges (calibers) of rifled hunting weapons that are permitted to be used for hunting game animals depending on the species/age.

The main provisions of the document will come into force 6 months after its official publication.

For reference

Hunting is the capture or extraction of wild animals and birds, usually for food, animal products, animal population control, or trophies.
