Unfortunately, persistent scammers in Belarus are inventing new ways to deceive citizens.
Not long ago, they reached the popular social network Instagram*, where they began to actively operate.
On this platform, criminal elements are practicing a new fraud scheme, about which the Ministry of Information of Belarus warns its compatriots in its official Telegram channel.
According to the agency, attackers from a hidden account on the aforementioned social network (@helpspportcenterblers1 or similar) are sending out fake notifications en masse on behalf of the Meta** company.
Users are told that they have allegedly violated community guidelines and that their accounts will be disabled "within 24-48 hours."
Potential victims are asked to "complete an appeal form to review and appeal the complaint" by following the link provided.
The Ministry of Information emphasizes that this notification is a phishing attack carried out to intercept a user's account and obtain their personal data.
In this regard, the agency strongly recommends that you do not follow any imposed links and, especially, do not provide personal information or your account details to third parties.
