China has increased the visa-free transit period for citizens of Belarus and 53 other countries to 10 days (240 hours).
The State Administration for Immigration Affairs of China reported this.
According to the department's statement, the new rules came into force today.
Citizens of 40 European countries (including Belarus, Russia and Ukraine), six countries in North and South America, six countries in Asia and two countries in Oceania can now travel visa-free for up to 240 hours.
Previously, the visa-free transit period for Belarusians was 72 and 144 hours, depending on the point of entry.
The list of places to cross the Chinese border with the right to visa-free transit has been expanded by 21 points to 60 ports of entry.
For visa-free transit, tickets/other proof of travel itinerary through China and a document entitling to international travel that complies with the entry regulations of a third country are required. The validity of this document must be at least 3 months.
