It recently became known that some of the Belarusian tank crews left for neighboring Russia.
We are talking about servicemen from one of the tank units of the Armed Forces of the Republic.
The press service of the Ministry of Defense of Belarus reported this on its official telegram channel.
According to information released by the department, the tank crews headed to the Russian Mulino training ground (Nizhny Novgorod Region).
The purpose of the trip is training at the joint combat training center for Russian and Belarusian military personnel.
Belarusian tank crews will undergo intensive training at the center for a month, the Defense Ministry noted.
According to the battalion commander, the Belarusian tank crews will “adopt the experience of conducting combat operations” from their Russian colleagues.
He explained that this meant fire and tactical training, as well as driving in difficult terrain conditions.
Given what is happening in the world and especially around the Republic of Belarus, training with direct participants of the SVO is very relevant for our units, the battalion commander said.
