Belarusian builder: features of the profession today, specifics and salaries

A builder is a profession that has always been in demand by society. From ancient times to this day, specialists are needed in almost many areas of activity.
Belarus is no exception. Their work is especially valued in the republic, as evidenced, among other things, by the thousands of vacancies in the database of the state employment service.
And they don't cheat with salaries. The highest ones go beyond 4,000 rubles.
Although, it must be said, for some highly specialized workers there are several vacancies with the minimum possible salary of 626 rubles.
Peculiarities
We will discuss the income of domestic builders in detail below.
Now let us briefly recall what builders do, what are the specifics and conditions of their work.
One of the main features of the profession has already been mentioned – the widespread demand for Belarusian builders, including abroad, especially at construction sites in Russia.
Builders are engaged in the construction of houses, factories, enterprises, and administrative buildings.
They also build hospitals and clinics, kindergartens and schools, bridges and overpasses, shops, power plants, and many other facilities.
The second feature: the term "builder" generalizes various highly specialized jobs in the construction industry. And there are many of them.
For example, today, among builders who perform only specific work, there are such specialists as fitters, concrete workers, crane operators, machine adjusters, green construction workers, foremen, engineers, architects, etc.
Specializations
All specialties can be classified into two large categories: management specialists (engineers) and performers (workers).
The first, having a higher technical education, are responsible for the design and implementation of the construction of the facility and manage subordinates.
The contractors carry out the tasks of their management, directly constructing a building, bridge, shopping center, factory, etc.
At the same time, the civil engineer plays a huge role in the construction of these objects.
It is he who, together with the architect, designs new buildings, organizes the construction work itself, coordinates the activities of workers, and generally exercises control over the process.
And the contractors perform both manual work, such as moving cargo, and work using specialized construction equipment.
Today's performers are masons, painters, plasterers, crane operators, construction assemblers, concrete workers, construction machine adjusters and many other workers.
Bulldozer operators, surveyors, excavator operators, reinforcement workers, foremen, tilers, etc. are also actively working at construction sites.
Specificity
One of the most obvious specific features of the profession is that the work is complex, hard, exhausting, often in conditions that are harmful to health and even life-threatening.
The latter is especially relevant for workers involved in high-altitude work, but even on the ground, unfortunately, accidents happen.
For this reason, virtually every builder is required to know and comply with safety and labor protection rules.
In addition, workers experience enormous physical strain and are responsible for the tasks they perform.
Another specificity is that in some cases you have to work irregular hours.
Salaries
This issue was already touched upon a little above, indicating the minimum and maximum salaries for Belarusian builders.
Speaking of “minimum wages”, we will note vacancies in the GSS database with 626 rubles for a green construction worker.
This is what the Zhlobin PMS and the housing office "Zhilkomservis 2" offer this worker.
Similar amounts were promised to these specialists from Lyakhovichi Housing and Communal Services and RUP Belorusneft-Osobino (Buda-Koshelevsky District, Gomel Region).

Today, employers most often indicate “construction salaries” in the amount of 1,500 to 2,000 rubles.
For example, the Belenergostroy enterprise (Zhodino) prepared a salary for a construction and installation work foreman within exactly these limits.
The company "Anplast" (Novopolotsk) and the state unitary enterprise "UTPK-Obldorstroy" (Mogilev district) are ready to pay a salary of 1,500 rubles to a construction fitter.
Road construction trust No. 4 of Brest is looking for a construction and installation works master. Will provide the specialist with a salary of 1,900 rubles.
Maximum
Currently, the highest salaries for Belarusian builders are in the region of 4,000 – 4,500 rubles.
It is within these designated limits that the salary of a construction machine adjuster is offered by Grodnozhilstroy OJSC (Grodno).
From 4,000 to 4,200 rubles is already the salary for a construction fitter from the same employer.
