From December 1 of this year, mandatory labeling and traceability of goods were to be introduced in Belarus.
However, by government decree (number 877 dated November 25, 2024), the deadlines were shifted.
Now, according to the document, the new date is October 1 of next year.
The Belta agency reported on the postponement of the deadlines with reference to the Ministry of Taxes and Duties of the Republic.
It is specified: the deadlines for introducing traceability for pasta, cereals, dairy products, confectionery, chocolate, tea, coffee, footwear, household appliances, detergents and some others have been postponed.
As for the postponement of the introduction of labeling, we are talking about soft drinks, juices, mobile phones and laptops.
The Ministry of Taxes and Duties reported that this Council of Ministers resolution provides Belarusian producers, importers and retail outlets with the opportunity to better prepare for the introduction of labeling and traceability.
