Belarusian banks and other payment service providers will temporarily change the procedure for cash withdrawals using cards of non-resident banks and cash deposits by unidentified individuals to replenish individual bank accounts.
This decision was made by the Board of the National Bank taking into account operational information received from law enforcement agencies in order to reduce the risks of illegal actions against individuals and legal entities.
The press service of the National Bank of the Republic of Belarus reported this.
From December 20 of this year to February 1 of next year, no more than 25 BV per month (per card) can be withdrawn from ATMs of Belarusian banks using a non-resident bank card.
To receive cash in an amount exceeding 25 BV, you will need to go to the bank's cash desk and present an identity document.
It will be possible to deposit cash through an ATM (infokiosk, other self-service device) to top up accounts of individuals through the ERIP system only using a card/other payment instrument that requires identification of its holder.
This operation can also be performed at the bank's cash desk using a card/other payment instrument that requires identification of its holder, or by presenting an identity document.
