There are no plans to raise the retirement age in Belarus.
This was announced by Deputy Minister of Labor and Social Protection Valery Kovalkov on October 31 at a press conference dedicated to innovations in pension provision and the extension of the family capital program.
The press conference was broadcast on the YouTube channel of the House of Press.
The Deputy Minister of Labor stated that the possibility of raising the retirement age is not being considered.
The issue is not being worked on or considered, the deputy minister said.
He noted that some categories of citizens may retire earlier than the established age.
Thus, mothers with a disabled child can retire 5 years earlier. Benefits are also provided for mothers with many children.
