Actor in the TV series "Glukhar" faces a second life sentence

The Second District Military Court in Moscow has opened a new criminal case against Kirill Kanakhin, an actor from the TV series “Glukhar” who was sentenced to life imprisonment and is a member of the “Russian Volunteer Corps” (recognized as a terrorist organization in the Russian Federation).

Kanakhin is charged with more than 10 articles, the maximum punishment for which is life imprisonment.

The case was transferred to the judge yesterday, September 19, MIA Rossiya Segodnya reports, citing the court’s file.

The court also received case materials against the head of the RDC, Denis Kapustin (included in the Russian list of those involved in terrorism or extremist activity).

He also faces another life sentence. In November last year, the same court sentenced Kapustin to life imprisonment for organizing an attack on the Bryansk region of the Russian Federation.

The head of the RDC was charged with terrorism, treason, illegal trafficking of explosives, organizing a terrorist community and participating in it, and training for the purpose of carrying out terrorist activities.

According to the Federal Security Service of Russia, in the summer of 2022, Kapustin organized an attempt to blow up a fuel and energy facility in the Volgograd region of the Russian Federation, and last year, an attempt to assassinate the founder of the Tsargrad channel, Konstantin Malofeev, and an attack on the Bryansk region.
