What will change for working pensioners in Belarus under Lukashenko's new decree
The day before, Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko signed a decree on social support.
The decree also provides for the lifting of restrictions on the size of pensions for working pensioners, the press service of the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection reported on Telegram.

As reported by the Ministry of Labor, after the decree comes into force, the payment of labor pensions under the law "On Pension Provision" will be carried out without applying the restriction on the individual earnings coefficient of no more than 1.3.
The decree also contains other innovations concerning pensions. For example, the deadline for filing an application for a pension will be extended.
It can be submitted either a month before the right to a pension arises or within a month after. If the application is submitted later, the pension will be assigned from the date of application.
The procedure for determining earnings for calculating pensions will also change: the current 30-year period will be used to calculate the ICP.
Further annual increases in this period are being discontinued in order to move towards confirming earnings only using personalized records from the Social Security Fund without submitting “paper” certificates of earnings.
Such a certificate is issued by the employer, his legal successor or archive. If the documents have not been preserved, earnings for such work are taken into account with a zero value.
Because of this, the pension amount is reduced, and earnings can only be determined through the court.
In order to protect the interests of citizens in such situations, employees will be given the right not to take into account when calculating the IPC periods of work where documents have not been preserved, with replacement by earlier periods where documents are available.
In addition, the decree introduces additional categories of pensioners who have the right to receive their pension at the post office, including home delivery.
