Today, Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko signed a decree on social support.
The Ministry of Labor and Social Protection commented on the innovations provided for in the document.
As reported by the Ministry of Labor's Telegram channel, the decree provides for the optimization of the deadlines for filing an application for a pension.
The application can be submitted either one month before the pension is assigned or within one month after it.
If the application is submitted within the specified period, the pension will be assigned from the date the right to it arises; if the application is submitted later, from the date of application.
The document also provides for a change in the procedure for determining earnings for calculating pensions.
To calculate the individual earnings coefficient, the current thirty-year work experience is recorded. Its further annual increase is stopped.
In addition, the decree establishes an additional increase to the pension paid to disabled children in the event of the death of one of the parents. It may amount to 80% to 110% of the BPM.
