What's Happening at Belarus's Southern Border? The Armed Forces Reported the Situation
At the moment, the southern border of our republic is calm.
Major General Vadim Denisenko shared this information.
The commander of the special operations forces of the Belarusian Armed Forces made the corresponding statement on the STV television channel.
The Major General noted: The President of Belarus has made a decision to allocate forces to cover the southern section of the state border.
According to Denisenko, there is an increase and decrease in forces: everything depends on the situation on the other side.
It is emphasized that in the south of the country the Special Operations Forces of the Armed Forces have the following task: to provide assistance to border guards and support them. In addition, representatives of this branch of the military cover the arsenal bases located along the border.
Situation on the southern border of Belarus
Denisenko called the current situation calm.
As the representative of the Belarusian Armed Forces emphasized, the border guards carry out their tasks, and the Special Operations Forces of the Armed Forces provide assistance when necessary.
But two years ago the situation was more complicated, Denisenko noted.
According to the commander, in 2022, leaflets were thrown at the Belarusian side and obscene gestures were made. However, there are no such problems at the moment.
