On the morning of October 24, an X-class solar flare occurred.
This level is the maximum.
It is noted that the flare occurred on the eastern edge of the only star in the solar system.
This information was shared by Sergei Bogachev, head of the Laboratory of Solar Astronomy at the Space Research Institute of the Russian Academy of Sciences.
According to measurements of X-ray radiation fluxes, the event score is X3.3, MIA " Russia Today " quotes the specialist as saying.
The expert emphasized that the outbreak that occurred today was the eleventh most powerful event in the last 6 years.
Bogachev noted that the flare resulted in a serious mass ejection.
However, there is no particular reason for concern: given the location of the center, the ejection went to the side (and partly back) from our planet.
In other words, the ejected masses will not affect the Earth.
But there is also bad news: it has become known that a group of spots that caused a major flare at the beginning of the month has returned to the planet.
It is possible that this group will return to Earth in the next 14 days.
