In Belarus, the task of providing citizens with housing is being accomplished ahead of schedule.
This was announced by First Deputy Prime Minister Nikolai Snopkov at a joint meeting of the chambers of the National Assembly.
The statement by the deputy head of government is cited by BELTA .
The Deputy Prime Minister stressed that providing citizens with housing remains a government priority.
According to Snopkov, this task is being completed ahead of schedule: in 2021-23, 12.8 million square meters were put into operation, with 12.5 million square meters declared in the state housing construction program.
We will fulfill the task this year as well. Moreover, more than a third of housing is being built with state support, - the deputy head of government stated.
He added that housing availability is increasing: for several years now, the price per square meter of housing built with government support has been lower than the average salary.
