On Thursday, October 17, a family of 12 people living in the capital of Latvia left the Baltic country and arrived in Belarus.
A married couple raising ten children came to the conclusion that it was necessary to take their sons and daughters out of the European Union.
The reason is this: in the EU, the family faced discrimination.
The State Border Committee of the Republic of Belarus reported this on its Telegram channel.
As reported by the State Civil Procedure Code of Belarus, the husband and wife decided to take serious measures after encountering discrimination against the Russian-speaking population in Latvia.
In the Baltic republic, a family was deprived of a number of benefits.
In addition, the couple began to receive threats: they said that they would be deprived of their parental rights.
As a result, the family decided to leave Latvia.
Today the couple and their 10 children traveled to Belarus. The process was quick, as thanks to the visa-free regime there was no need to prepare documents.
Our country provides maximum assistance to a family facing serious problems in the Republic of Latvia.
On the night of October 16-17, information appeared according to which a married couple and their children took a bus from the Grigorovshchina checkpoint to the Belarusian capital.
