The draft decree on social support, approved by the President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko, provides for changes in the calculation of pensions.
The head of the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection, Natalia Pavlyuchenko, reported this on October 15.
Her statement is cited by BELTA .
As the minister explained, one of the innovations concerns the establishment of the period of earnings duration, which is taken to calculate the pension.
Now the pension is calculated based on 30 years of previous work. Although in 2000 only six years were taken into account. That is, a year is added every year.
We propose to stop this calculation and now always calculate based on 30 years of previous work, Pavlyuchenko explained.
According to the head of the Ministry of Labor, in the future this will allow us to get rid of paper certificates confirming salary. Pensions will be calculated based on the FSS database, which will relieve citizens of a certain burden.
Secondly, it is proposed to amend the legislation in terms of confirmation of earnings when assigning a pension.
It is proposed to take as a basis earnings for periods that are confirmed by documents.
It is also proposed to give citizens the opportunity to apply for a pension either before or after their birthday.
