Some folk remedies for colds can worsen the course of the disease.
General practitioner Alexander Verbovikov warned about this.
The specialist's recommendations are provided by BELTA+ .
As Verbovikov explained, a good folk remedy is tea with raspberries, and inhalations of potato steam and milk with honey help with coughs.
However, the doctor clarified that inhalation of potato steam is contraindicated at temperatures above 37.5°C, bronchial asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.
The specialist also warned about the danger of putting onion and garlic juice into the nose: it can worsen the course of the disease and even cause anaphylactic shock.
I would avoid using mustard plasters and cupping on children, ” the doctor added.
