On October 11, during a working visit to the Shklov district, the President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko launched a national campaign to restore the forest.

The event will help restore forests damaged by the large-scale natural disaster last summer.

President Lukashenko launched the republican campaign “Give the forest new life!”, the press service of the head of state reports.

As part of the campaign, it is planned to restore windfall-damaged forest areas.

The head of state set a corresponding task for specialists during his trip to the Mozyr region.

Then the President pointed out the need for competent organization of assistance to the affected population and the processing of damaged and fallen timber.

Speaking about the need for prompt restoration of forest areas, Alexander Lukashenko emphasized that it is necessary to involve the population, work collectives and students in the work.

The Belarusian leader did not stand aside.

With the participation of the President, forest crops of oak and spruce were planted in the Shklov district.

A total of 2 thousand trees were planted on an area of 0.6 hectares, the report says.
