A criminal case was opened against her for justifying terrorism for her statements on social networks.

According to Russian media, the TV presenter faces up to 7 years in prison.

The wanted woman has been living outside the Russian Federation for several years.

On July 22, 2022, the Russian Ministry of Justice included Tatyana Lazareva and her ex-husband Mikhail Shats in the list of foreign agents.

Since then, she has been fined several times for violating the law on foreign agents.

After the TV presenter stated on social media that Ukrainian drone attacks on Russian cities brought her joy, a criminal case was opened against her.

Such actions are punishable under Part 2 of Article 205.2 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (justification of terrorism using the Internet).

In July 2024, the Zamoskvoretsky Court of Moscow issued a decision to arrest Lazareva in absentia.
