Today, at the training ground of the special forces training center of the Volovshchina internal troops, a comprehensive training session was held with military personnel who served in the special forces of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and members of the volunteer detachment "Smerch".
State Secretary of the Security Council Alexander Volfovich explained why volunteer units are being prepared in Belarus.
His statement is cited by BELTA .
As the State Secretary of the Security Council explained, this is a new form of conscription of military personnel – for a day, for two, on a weekend.
Without using the mobilization system that has been developed in Belarus, Volfovich added.
According to him, this form of training was devised for former soldiers and officers of the Internal Troops, SOBR, OMON, Almaz and other special units of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
As the State Secretary of the Security Council explained, in the event of an attack on the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the country, the heads of the security bloc, at the signal of the head of state, will give the command and within literally a few hours, people with excellent command of the skills and methods of conducting military operations will arrive at the active units, bypassing the military registration and enlistment offices. Weapons kits and uniforms have already been prepared for them.
They increase the combat potential of the current special forces by two to three times, said Volfovich.
He noted that conscripts understand the need for such training sessions and come to them with desire.
According to the State Secretary of the Security Council, the units are analyzing modern combat experience, including the Air Defense Forces, studying the use of drones and counteraction to them, electronic warfare systems, weapons, mobile vehicles, new types of small arms, and first aid equipment.
Also, military personnel are informed about issues of demining areas, engineering preparation, etc.
Each special forces soldier who attended the training has all the skills to conduct combat operations, the State Secretary of the Security Council summed up, emphasizing that the security bloc is ready to defend national interests.
