Next year, two increases in labor pensions are planned in Belarus.
This was reported on October 7 by Svetlana Bartosh, Deputy Chairperson of the Standing Committee on Budget and Finance of the House of Representatives of Belarus.

As Bartosh explained, the draft budget of the Social Security Fund for next year was formed taking into account the trends in budget execution this year and the main parameters of the forecast for the country's socio-economic development.
The surplus is expected to be 500 million rubles, revenues – 32,775.6 million rubles, expenses – 32,273.8 million rubles.
The bulk of the expenditure – 80.2%, or 25,888.2 million rubles – will be directed toward paying labor pensions, pensions to civil servants, pensions for special services to the country, conscripts and their family members, those who have completed alternative service and their family members, social pensions, certain types of additional payments, as well as the provision of services for their payment.
The schedule for increasing labor pensions, the deputy noted, is always linked to wage growth.
Next year, it is planned to increase pensions twice: by 10% from April 1 and by 5% from October 1.
The ratio of a non-working pensioner's pension to the average salary in the country is expected to be 38.3% next year.
Expenditures on the payment of family benefits, maternity benefits, temporary disability benefits, temporary disability benefits for child care, care for a pensioner over 80 years of age or a disabled person of the first group, funerals, one-time benefits in the event of the death of civil servants during the reorganization/liquidation of a government agency that was the last place of civil service of the deceased, as well as the provision of services for their payment are planned at the level of 5957.9 million rubles.
At the same time, expenses for the payment of benefits that are paid in accordance with the law on state benefits to families raising children, including the provision of services for their payment, are provided in the amount of 3,242.7 million rubles (54.4% of the budget expenses of the Social Security Fund for the payment of all types of benefits).
The bill on the budget of the Social Security Fund has been submitted to the lower house of parliament; consideration is scheduled for the second session.
