The Ministry of Housing and Utilities explained what will happen to housing and utilities tariffs

This year, tariffs for housing and communal services in Belarus will not change.

Next year, adjustments to housing and communal services tariffs will be considered individually.

This was reported by BELTA with reference to the deputy head of the Department of Public Utilities and Energy of the Ministry of Housing and Communal Services, Aleksey Filanovich.

What the Ministry of Housing and Utilities said about housing and utilities tariffs

As Filanovich explained, housing and communal services tariffs cannot be increased by more than half the base amount (20 rubles) per year.

According to the law, housing and communal services tariffs are revised twice a year, from January 1 and June 1.

This year, according to a representative of the Ministry of Housing and Utilities, the tariffs will not change. Next year, tariff adjustments will be considered individually, taking into account the cost of energy resources, accumulated costs and planned and estimated prices.

Filanovich noted that this year September actually became the fourth month of summer, which allowed Belarusians to save on heating.

The representative of the Ministry of Housing and Public Utilities also noted that the state subsidizes three-quarters of heating costs.
