A special complex event will be held in Belarus on October 7-11: who will be visited at home for inspection

Starting next week, on October 7, the main stage of the operational and preventive special complex event “Arsenal” will begin in Belarus.

It will last until October 11, BELTA reports with reference to the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

The event's organizers set themselves the goal of preventing violations of legislation in the area of arms circulation.

In order to accomplish this task, law enforcement officers will inspect the conditions created by citizens for storing registered pistols and rifles.

In addition, law enforcement officers intend to convey to residents of Belarus information about safety measures that should be observed when handling weapons.

The police will also make every effort to identify illegal weapons, ammunition, explosive devices and explosive substances.

A separate area of their activity will be explanatory work with the population on the possibility of voluntary surrender of the listed items.

Let us recall that since the beginning of 2024, more than 400 units of weapons that were not registered in the established manner, and about 43 thousand of the same ammunition of various calibers have been confiscated from citizens.

On a voluntary basis, the country's residents said goodbye to more than 450 units of weapons and about 20 thousand rounds of ammunition. More than 1 thousand units of registered weapons were confiscated from private owners due to various violations.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs noted that those who voluntarily surrendered illegally stored weapons and ammunition are not subject to criminal or administrative prosecution.
