This Friday, October 4, as well as the entire coming weekend, October 5 and 6, the State Traffic Inspectorate of Belarus will be intensively monitoring the country's roads.
The priority direction is to prevent and suppress attempts to commit gross violations of traffic rules.
At the same time, the behavior of not only drivers, but also pedestrians and cyclists is monitored, especially at night.
This information was published in the official telegram channel of the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic.
It is reported that key control measures during the specified period include the timely identification of intoxicated road users and the removal of unlicensed drivers from driving vehicles.
And the most dangerous areas will be reinforced by crews of the special traffic police unit "Strela".
Separately, law enforcement officers appealed to pedestrians and cyclists to observe safety rules.
When crossing the roadway, the Ministry of Internal Affairs reminded, one should not forget that on a wet road the braking distance of a vehicle increases.
In conditions of early darkness and adverse weather, it is extremely important to use reflective elements and high-visibility clothing.
Drivers need to be very careful at night and when driving through forest areas, remembering that moose and other inhabitants of the forest may run out onto the road.
In addition, it is recommended to choose a safe speed and be sure to take into account weather conditions, visibility on the roads, and the condition of your vehicle.
While driving, you should not be distracted from driving the car, and you should not make sudden maneuvers (overtaking, changing lanes).
