The Ministry of Justice informed Belarusians working in archives about a significant increase in their salaries
From January 1 of next year, salaries of archival institution employees will increase in Belarus.
According to the Director of the Department of Archives and Records Management of the Ministry of Justice, Oleg Voinov, the increase will be significant.
As Belta reports , a representative of the department announced this at a press conference dedicated to Archivist Day (celebrated in Belarus on October 6).
Voinov said that this year the Ministry of Justice, with the aim of “increasing the prestige of the archivist profession,” carried out work to increase the salaries of archivists.
The Ministry's Resolution No. 52 was adopted on August 7 of this year.
It is this document that provides for an increase in the salaries of archivists from January 1, 2025.
The Director of the Department gave the following figures: they will increase wages from 57.8% of the average salary in the country to 80%.
In monetary terms, the specialist added, the salaries of archivists will increase by an average of 500 rubles.
Voinov noted: this is the greatest gift for this category of workers on the eve of their professional holiday.
