The situation on the borders of Belarus with EU countries: about 3,000 cars in queues

This morning, September 30, huge queues of cars, trucks and buses were still observed at the borders of Belarus with the EU countries.

According to the State Border Committee of the Republic, by 10 a.m., approximately 3,000 vehicles were waiting to leave for neighboring states.

As reported by the State Transport Committee press service on its official telegram channel, at the specified time the busiest direction was Lithuanian – 1,350 trucks.

The agency notes that over the past weekend, only 30% of the normal number of trucks traveled to Lithuania.

The smallest number of such vehicles over the weekend were processed by the employees of the Medininkai checkpoint (on the Belarusian side – Kamenny Log) – 159 out of 1,000 trucks.

On the morning of September 30, there were 900 trucks in line to enter Poland at the Kukuryki (Kozlovichi) border crossing.

The other side accepted 54% of the standard amount of transport into its territory, the report says.

Over the weekend, 56% of trucks passed through the Latvian checkpoint "Paternieki" ("Grigorovshchina") to the EU countries.

As for passenger cars, on September 30 at 10 am there were queues in front of the Polish checkpoint “Terespol” (“Brest”) and the Lithuanian “Medininkai” (“Kamenny Log”).

The State Traffic Safety Inspectorate reported that by the specified time there were 220 passenger cars waiting in line.

Since Friday, Poland has been accepting an average of 32% of transport per day, the press service added.

On Monday morning, a queue of 35 buses was recorded in front of the Polish checkpoint “Terespol” (“Brest”), the Border Committee summed up.
