Travel on minibuses in Belarus can be paid for with a bank card.
This follows from Government Resolution No. 704/22 of September 26, 2024.
The document was published on the National Legal Internet Portal.
According to the resolution, the list of objects and types of activities in which companies and individual entrepreneurs are required to have payment terminals includes an item on urban passenger transportation in regular service by buses of category M2.
Minibus drivers will be required to accept card payments starting November 1 next year.
Currently, cashless payments in minibuses are only possible through a special banking application.
The resolution also postponed the date for the entry into force of the rule on accepting payments using cash register equipment from July 1 of next year to July 1, 2026.
