Belarusians warned of worsening weather – strong winds and rain are forecast for today
The hot summer and unusually warm autumn are being replaced by a cold snap. Stronger winds and rain are expected today.
The air temperature in the republic will be from 17 to 26 degrees Celsius.
What kind of weather awaits Belarusians on September 28, BELTA reports with reference to the Republican Center for Hydrometeorology, Radioactive Pollution Control and Environmental Monitoring of the Ministry of Natural Resources.
Overall, windy and rainy weather is expected on September 28.
Partly cloudy skies are forecast for the southeast.
Rain is expected in some areas, and thunderstorms are possible.
South, southwest wind at a speed of 5-10 m/s. In gusts, the wind speed will increase to 14 m/s, and in some places 15-18 m/s.
Air temperatures will fluctuate from 17 degrees Celsius in the northwest of the republic to 26 degrees Celsius in the southeastern regions.
As the Belarusian Ministry of Emergency Situations warns, in such conditions, damage to communication and power lines, damage to weakly reinforced structures and falling trees, as well as the emergence of other hazards are possible.
