The fight against corruption and the formation of a law-abiding way of life among the population is the most important priority of our state policy.

The prosecutor's office pays special attention to issues of combating corruption, preventing all its manifestations, identifying and suppressing crimes and offenses.

According to Article 5 of the Law of the Republic of Belarus dated 15.07.2015 No. 305-Z "On the Fight against Corruption" (hereinafter referred to as the Law), the fight against corruption is carried out by state bodies and other organizations through the comprehensive application of planning and coordination of the activities of state bodies and other organizations in the fight against corruption, as well as the establishment of restrictions and special requirements aimed at ensuring financial control over state officials and persons equal to them in order to prevent manifestations of corruption and their detection.

The Borisov District Prosecutor's Office, on the basis of Decree of the President of the Republic of Belarus No. 510 "On improving control (supervisory) activities in the Republic of Belarus", conducted an inspection of the State Healthcare Institution "Borisov Specialized Children's Home" (hereinafter referred to as the institution), during which violations of the requirements of the legislation on combating corruption were revealed.

In particular, violations were found in the maintenance of timesheets: a number of workers were outside the Republic of Belarus, while the timesheets indicated working hours, and wages were calculated illegally.

In addition, during the inspection, a number of violations of the requirements of anti-corruption legislation were identified in the activities of the institution’s anti-corruption commission, in the preparation by the institution’s personnel department of written commitments of government officials to comply with anti-corruption restrictions, and in the conduct of public procurement procedures for goods (works, services).

In connection with the violations committed, the district prosecutor's office sent a submission to the head of the institution to eliminate violations of the anti-corruption legislation, the reasons and conditions that facilitated their commission, as a result of which 3 officials were brought to disciplinary responsibility.

The material was prepared by the senior assistant to the prosecutor of the Borisovsky district E. V. Kalvinkovskaya especially for the information and news portal "Belnovosti" (Certificate of state registration of mass media (mass media) No. 2 dated December 21, 2018).
