"We have learned the truth." Lukashenko addressed Belarusians

Alexander Lukashenko congratulated the residents of Belarus on the national holiday celebrated by the country on September 17 – National Unity Day.

According to the President, “this is a holiday of historical justice” and it symbolizes national revival.

The congratulatory message, published by the press service of the head of state, notes that on September 17, 1939, “the eternal desire of Belarusians to live on their territory as a single family in peace and harmony was realized.”

Since then, we have learned the truth: to remain independent, we must be strong economically, politically and spiritually, the author of the message emphasizes.

And it goes on to say that 85 years ago, the ancestors of Belarusians reunited with the goal of creating for the sake of a common future.

Step by step, achieving labor and military victories, Belarusians, thanks to their inherent talent and energy, strengthened their statehood.

At the same time, they established themselves in the world as “a strong-spirited and progressive nation.”

According to Alexander Lukashenko, today, when the country is developing and confidently moving forward, it is extremely important to maintain love and respect for the native land.

Only in this way, through joint efforts, can we pass on to our descendants the proud right to be called Belarusians, he said.

On National Unity Day, the head of state wished all his compatriots health, well-being and prosperity.
