Lukashenko signs decree on increasing pensions from October 1

From October 1, all types of labor pensions will increase in Belarus.

This is provided for by Decree No. 357, signed by the country's President Alexander Lukashenko on September 12, the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection's Telegram channel reports.

How much will pensions increase from October 1?

The decree provides for an increase in all types of labor pensions - by age, disability, length of service, and loss of breadwinner. As a result of the recalculation, the pension will increase by an average of 5%.

The Ministry of Labor noted that the amount of pension increase will be different for each pensioner.

This depends on the amount of earnings and length of service taken into account when calculating the pension, as well as pension supplements.

The department noted that this is the second increase in labor pensions this year. The first was on February 1 by 10%.

The annual increase in the labor pension (October of this year compared to October of last year) will be 115 rubles, or 15.6%.

Expenditures on pension payments in October will amount to about 2 billion rubles, of which 95 million rubles will be allocated for increases.

More than 2.3 million people receive labor pensions in Belarus.
