Collective Security Treaty Organization exercises have begun in the Kyrgyz Republic.
The events that started in the Central Asian country were given the following names: “Interaction-2024”, “Search-2024” and “Echelon-2024”.
BELTA reports the start of the CSTO exercises with reference to the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Belarus.
The head of the Belarusian delegation took part in the opening ceremony of the exercises.
We are talking about Major General Pavel Muraveiko.
He is the head of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Belarus - the first deputy head of the Belarusian defense department.
Muraveiko took part in the event together with the heads of delegations from other countries that are members of the CSTO.
The Major General visited the command post of the CRRF and listened to reports from representatives of the Belarusian side at the exercises.
Let us recall that the signatures under the Collective Security Treaty were placed in 1992 in Uzbekistan. The document entered into force two years later.
In 2002, a decision was made to give the Treaty the status of an international organization.
