A new school year has recently begun.

During this period, the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Belarus shared information that is important for schoolchildren and their parents, as well as for employees of educational institutions.

The department emphasized that during a rise in the incidence of viral infections, a sick child may be absent from classes for 5 days without providing a certificate from a medical institution.

This reminder was published on the Telegram channel of the Belarusian Ministry of Health.

The ministry noted that if a child is diagnosed with an acute respiratory viral disease, the student may miss 5 days of school without providing a certificate of illness.

Does this rule only apply to schoolchildren?

It is worth emphasizing that the rule applies to students not only in schools, but also in other educational institutions.

Thus, a sick university student can miss up to five days without a certificate.

The same applies to those who are studying in vocational and secondary specialized education institutions.

Parents of preschoolers should also pay attention to this rule.

It is emphasized that the rule was introduced last fall in order to prevent the active spread of infections.
