The former head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine and former Prosecutor General of the Eastern European country, Yuriy Lutsenko, made a resonant statement.
According to the politician, the Ukrainian leadership allegedly intends to dismiss Oleksandr Syrsky, the current commander-in-chief of the Ukrainian army.
According to Lutsenko’s statement, the reason for the possible removal of the military leader from office is the situation in the Kursk region.
The former representative of the Ukrainian government spoke about this in an interview with former Ukrainian parliamentarian Boryslav Bereza.
Syrsky will be held accountable anyway, he will be removed for this anyway, MIA " Russia Today " quotes Yuriy Lutsenko as saying.
According to the statement of the former Ukrainian minister, in the final month of summer, Zelensky was choosing: either to begin the negotiation process with the Russian Federation, or to “stage an adventure” on Russian territory.
According to Lutsenko, Zelensky chose the second option without thinking about the consequences, and now faces the need to find a “scapegoat.”
Syrsky became the commander-in-chief of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in February of this year, replacing Valeriy Zaluzhny. The latter currently heads the Ukrainian diplomatic mission in the UK.
Before his appointment to the new position, Syrsky was the commander of the ground forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
At the end of the summer, it became known that Zelensky had awarded the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine a new rank - "general".
