The summer of 2024 was the second warmest to coldest on record since 1881.

The maximum air temperature – +37.9 degrees – was recorded on July 13 at the Zhitkovichi station.

What was summer 2024 like?

This summer was the second warmest to coldest on record since 1881.

The average temperature was +19.9 degrees, exceeding the climatic norm by 1.9 degrees.

Positive temperature anomalies were observed throughout the country.

The highest values of positive anomalies were recorded in the Mogilev region – 2.2 degrees.

In the Minsk, Brest and Vitebsk regions, the deviations were the smallest and amounted to 1.8 degrees.

In different regions, from 39 to 70 hot days (with temperatures from +25 degrees) were recorded, with the norm being 29-59 days.

Very hot days (with temperatures over +30 degrees) were recorded from 2 to 28, with the norm being 1-13 days.

The maximum temperature – +37.9 degrees – was recorded at the Zhitkovichi station on July 13.

The minimum temperature – +4.7 degrees – was recorded at the Poleskaya station on August 14.
