It has become known how many large families in Belarus received assistance for the school year

It recently became known that virtually all large families in Belarus received assistance from the state to prepare their children for the school year.

According to available information, more than 115,000 large Belarusian families received one-time financial assistance for these purposes – for 233,000 children.

This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Republic.

One-time financial assistance

It is noted that a total of 30.3 million rubles were paid to large families from local budgets.

The Ministry of Labor reminds: one-time financial assistance is provided regardless of the family’s income.

The amount of this payment is 129 rubles 90 kopecks for each schoolchild in a large family.

At the place of work

70,500 families received assistance at their place of work from funds provided by trade unions and employers – for 118,700 children.

This volume of payments amounted to a total of 10.2 million rubles, the press service reported.

Targeted social assistance

2,300 low-income families received state targeted social assistance – for 6,100 children.

In this case, the total amount of payments in the form of one-time or monthly social benefits amounted to 4.9 million rubles.

The Ministry of Labor noted that the amount of state targeted social assistance is determined by district commissions - in each case individually, based on the family's income and specific life situation.

Charity events

The agency also reported support through charitable campaigns – 8,100 families with 18,100 children received it (total amount – 492,000 rubles).

In total, various types of assistance to prepare children for the new school year were provided to families in the amount of almost 46 million rubles, the department summarized.
