Singer Monetochka* put on wanted list in Russia
The Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs has declared singer Monetochka* (the pseudonym under which Elizaveta Gyrdymova* performs) wanted.
The performer is accused of a criminal offense, as stated on the department’s website.
The exact reasons why the singer-foreign agent appeared on the wanted list are not given.
One thing is known: on September 6, Monetochka* became a defendant in a criminal case.
It was initiated under Part 2 of Article 330.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation, which implies evasion of duties stipulated by the legislation on foreign agents.
Elizaveta Gyrdymova* has already been brought to administrative responsibility, twice in one year.
This measure was taken because Monetochka* did not mark her posts on social networks with a message about her status as a “foreign agent,” thereby violating the law on foreign agents.
