How fast can the world's fastest quadcopter fly: amazing for a 490 gram drone

The Lademann XLR V3 drone, designed by mechanical engineer Rayon Lademann, weighs only 490 grams.

Such a small weight did not prevent him from getting into the Guinness Book of Records as the fastest in the world.

It is capable of developing incredible speeds on a straight line – up to 414 km/h.

This is the average speed measured at the same altitude in two opposite directions - downwind and against.

The appearance of this device differs from most quadcopters.

The XLR has a vertical base that is housed in an aerodynamic bullet-shaped housing, rather than a flat horizontal chassis.

The engines also have the same shape and are attached to the main frame using thin, low-resistance struts.

To launch a quadcopter, it must be installed on a special stand - it serves to prevent damage to the propeller blades.

When rising into the air, the drone is able to hover in a vertical position, but when accelerating to the sides, it takes a horizontal position.
