The pregnancy period at that time was 21 weeks and 2 days (or 149 days, or 5 months), with a normal pregnancy period of 40 weeks.

The premature birth was caused by medical complications.

At the moment of birth, the baby weighed only 340 grams, and his height was 26 cm.

Doctors estimated the chances that the child was an infant at 0%.

For six months, doctors continued to fight for his life, despite the novel coronavirus pandemic.

The first weeks of his life were the most difficult for him.

The newborn was discharged from the hospital only in December 2020

On June 5, 2021, Richard celebrated his first birthday.
