The tallest dog (if we take into account those currently living) was a Great Dane named Kevin, who has been living with his owner in West Des Moines, Iowa, USA, for three years now.
The animal's height is 97 centimeters, which allowed its name to be entered into the Guinness Book of Records.
For comparison: the average height of representatives of this breed is 20 centimeters less, and is only 76 centimeters.
Kevin's owner, Tracy Wolfe, says he doesn't realize how big he is.
The dog is constantly trying to get into small beds, sit on Tracy, her husband or children and does other things that small dogs usually do.
In addition to the Great Dane, the Wolfs also have other animals: two more dogs, four cats, chickens, goats and horses.
It is curious that sometimes passers-by confuse Kevin himself with the horse, but he likes to lie on the couch much more than run like a foal.
The record holder also loves to spend time hugging and playing with his owners. Despite his impressive size, he is very afraid of the vacuum cleaner, and was even scared of the tape measure that the Book of Records staff took out to measure his height.
