How a 90-year-old truck driver ended up in the Guinness Book of Records: Few will be able to repeat his achievement
A US van driver has deservedly become a record holder and his name has been recorded in the Guinness Book of Records.
Doyle Archer of Kansas, who celebrated his 90th birthday, has been named the world's oldest active truck driver.
According to him, he spent more than 60 years of his life behind the wheel of a truck.
During this time, he traveled more than one million kilometers across the territory of the United States.
The truck driver himself jokes that he doesn’t know what the phrase “retire” means.
Doyle assures that as long as his health allows, he will not leave the profession and will continue to drive.
Archer also said that in his life he had to transport in his car such loads that it was only possible to fit into a truck trailer.
Thus, by his own example, the elderly American was able to prove that age is just a number, and true skill and passion for one’s work have no age restrictions.
