Residents of Tonghua, a famous ski resort in China's northeastern Jilin province, set two world records in the winter of 2018.

One of them is the longest ice bar counter.

Its length exceeds the mark of one hundred meters. Do not think that the achievement remained "ownerless": it was used for its intended purpose to the fullest.

Several dozen bartenders worked behind the counter, serving customers who wanted to warm up in the cold.

Yao Yuan, deputy head of the municipal tourism committee, said he hoped the record would attract more tourists, especially foreign visitors.

Not only this record was entered into the Guinness Book of Records: the Chinese also managed to create the largest painting on snow.

The snow painting was painted on the frozen Hongjiang River and covered an area of 2,220 square meters.

It depicts huge snowflakes, grapes and wine barrels. The choice of the image is not accidental – among other things, Tonghua has a developed wine industry.

The artists noted that they used only environmentally friendly materials.
