The world record for the longest toilet queue was set in 2009, when 756 people lined up for a toilet in central Brussels.
All these people have gathered here to draw attention to the problem of lack of clean water on World Water Day.
The event was organised by the UN children's agency UNICEF, which gave each participant a bracelet with their queue number and a T-shirt confirming their participation in the event.
Benoit Melebecq, a UNICEF representative, said the toilet was the same design as in third world countries - a dry toilet.
He also noted that the event was aimed not only at raising public awareness.
Another goal that the organizers had in mind was to fund the need for more pumps, wells, toilets and hygiene education for children in third world countries.
According to Melebeck, 5,000 children die every day due to lack of clean water, sanitation and hygiene education – that means a child dies every 20 seconds.
By the way, not one of the 756 people actually used the toilet, which was just a fake.
