The Story of Millie the Dog

She was born in early 1985.

Four years later, its owner, George Bush Sr., became head of the White House.

Once, the politician even mentioned his pet during a public speech.

But the peak of Millie's fame came in 1990, when a book called Millie's Book was published.

The work was presented as an "autobiography" of the US President's dog.

The book, allegedly written by Millie, became a bestseller, selling almost half a million copies.

The income received was $900,000. This money was donated to charity.

And Millie was included in the Guinness Book of Records as the animal that received the largest literary fee.

The famous dog died in the summer of 1997. The cause of Millie's death was pneumonia.
