What is the tallest Ferris wheel on the planet?

When asked this question, many people will probably think of properties in the US or Europe.

However, the American High Roller lost its status as the tallest Ferris wheel in 2021.

And this happened to the London Eye attraction back in 2006.

It turns out that the tallest Ferris wheel is in Asia. More precisely, in the United Arab Emirates.

Construction of the facility began in 2015 and was completed four years later.

The Ferris wheel was planned to open in 2020. But the coronavirus pandemic prevented this plan from being realized.

The event took place in autumn 2021.

The attraction was named "Dubai Eye". Another translation is "Eye of Dubai".

The total height of the object is 250 meters. The Ferris wheel, opened in the UAE almost three years ago, turned out to be 82 meters higher than the High Roller located in the Las Vegas agglomeration.

The Dubai Eye consists of almost 50 cabins. The total number of people that can be on the attraction is 1,750.

It takes more than half an hour to complete a full circle of the Dubai Eye.

True, the attraction is currently not working. Two years ago, the facility began to be renovated. The corresponding work has not yet reached its completion.
